Starliner Buckinghamshire 2101 (OY09 YTA) – VDL SB200 Wright Pulsar 2

BuckinghamshireStarliner Buckinghamshire has had these Pulsar since 2009 and they were bought new to Chilternliner. They were delivered with a silver cab, orange seating that was similar to the current Starliner seating moquette and silver handrails. The bus stayed this way for some time until it was refurbished in 2013. It has currently had it’s Handrails repainted to match the current Starliner livery. They were once allocated to services C1, C2, & C3 (later 101, 102 & 103_which are now of course withdrawn in favour of the Carousel services of which most were competing against.

Seen here is 2101 (OY09 YTA) which is now allocated to service 1 between High Wycombe, Amersham and Chesham which is operated jointly with Arriva.

Starliner Buckinghamshire 3412 (LT14 HEE) – Optare Metrodecker

BuckinghamshireStarliner Buckinghamshire used to operate the short lived TL1 service between High Wycombe and Uxbridge on a limited stop basis however it was decided that the surplus service wasn’t needed and extra journeys were added to service 730 and capacity was improved.

The Metrodeckers that were used on route TL1 weren’t suitable for the 730 route and therefore they have been placed onto route 4 between High Wycombe and Bourne End. They have been given new LED destination displays and have been repainted into Extra livery and are branded for the route.

Seen here is 3414 (LT14 HEE) on route 4 towards Bourne End.

Starliner Buckinghamshire DAF DB250 Wright Pulsar Gemini

BuckinghamshireStarliner Leeds came into ownership of this little gem when Yorkshire Bus sold to WilliamsonBus. It then moved to Norfolkliner where it was used on route 47 before being sold to a local company in Norwich, it was then sold again at the companies closure to Leeds Motor Services. Starliner took over Leeds Motor Services earlier this year and therefore the bus fell back into their hands. It had never been painted since it had left the local company in Norfolk and is now looking a little tired and its now running in Buckinghamshire, it was a reserve for The ONE but is now on route 1 between High Wycombe, Amersham and Chesham. It will soon be painted and refurbished before continuing to work on route 1.

Below is YN53 FTE seen here on route 1 towards Amersham and Chesham.

Starliner York VDL DB300 Wright Pulsar Gemini 2 & Volvo B7RLE Wright Eclipse Urban w/ Gemini 3 features – YourBus

YorkStarliner York were recently told by the University of York that it needed to run a better service, as First had made the university an offer. Starliner took up the challenge and with the help of the University have now started route 66 to replace the 44 and a new route 56 to run to York City Centre via Hull Road and Kings Manor. The 4 was subsequently revised to run to the University via Tang Hall and Obsaldwick instead of service 6 which now terminates in the City Centre.

The UB1 is now also operated by Starliner. The 66 operates using the old VDL Gemini 2’s but they have been given new Gemini 3 front features. the 56 operates using some Eclipse Urbans previously from the 101 which was withdrawn and also have Eclipse 3 features however these have been custom designed due to the fact that Wright have not released a new Eclipse model. The UB1 will operate using Optare Solo SR Electric Vehicles however this service doesnt operate during the University holidays.

Seen below is YYB 661 formerly YJ63 LAW on route 66 towards the University of York (& Sport Village) and below that is YYB 561 formerly YN58 RRT seem on route 56 towards the Unversity of York (Heslington East)
